Dental Clinic

There's something about giving someone a smile...

The Community Health Care Clinic in Normal is the primary medical home for hundreds of uninsured residents of McLean County. In 2019, the CHCC Dental Clinic opened to provide free acute, restorative and preventative dental services to CHCC patients.

Because of their income and poor access to health
and dental care, the majority of our patients have gone years, sometimes decades, without access to dental care.

Providing free comprehensive dental care:

  • Makes it possible for them to work and take care of their families.
  • Reduces the number of hospital/emergency room admissions and re-admissions for tooth pain
and dental emergencies which saves area hospitals tens of thousands of dollars.
  • Significantly improves the quality of life for our patients.

The CHCC Dental Clinic is equipped with four dental suites. Bridget Roop Dental Coordinator/Registered Dental Hygienist is the only paid staff member.

Seven dentists and two dental specialists volunteer their
time. The dentists, as well as Roop, see patients on a regular basis providing hygiene and education, extractions, fillings, full and partial dentures.
